Turkey’s authoritarian Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan reacted strongly to the decision of the European Parliament.(Breaking News)<\/h1>\n

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he did not recognize \u201cdecisions made by the European Parliament\u201d in response to the Parliament\u2019s session on Turkey on June 12.<\/p>\n

The prime minister said the body\u2019s decisions were not binding for Turkey, which is not an EU member.<\/p>\n

Tayyip Erdogan\u2019s rage also targeted Stefan F\u00fcle, calling him \u201cthat one who is responsible of expansion of the union.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did not once give me a counterargument during his time with me, and then he exited the<\/p>\n

Turkey Unrest: EU Minister Egemen Bag\u0131s also reacted<\/h2>\n

Turkey\u2019s European Affairs Ministry also criticized the European Parliament\u2019s attitude, releasing a statement accusing the Parliament of \u201cgetting excited in the heat of the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSome Parliaments should understand that there is a price for talking so freely and boldly about Turkey\u2019s domestic affairs. They should not be fooled by manipulations and slander and be part of dirty plans both national and international,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTurkey is a democratic, secular state of law that knows fully how to govern within its own democratic tradition. I hope that they have calculated the price of getting excited in the heat of the moment and target not just our government but the Turkish Republic as well,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

The Parliament, shortly after Erdo\u011fan\u2019s angry words, passed a harshly worded proposal against the Turkish government about the recent Gezi Park protest events.<\/p>\n

The Foreign Affairs Ministry responded quickly, calling the decision \u201cof a nature that harms our mutual aims.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe decision passed by the Parliament on the ongoing situation in Turkey is of a nature that harms our mutual aims of strengthening and spreading democracy, and one that has no relation to reality. In that sense, it is null and void to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Erdogan Warns Protesters<\/h3>\n

Turkey\u2019s prime minister ordered Thursday that \u201ctroublemakers\u201d be removed from Istanbul\u2019s Taksim Square within 24 hours.\u00a0\u201cWe will clean the square,\u201d\u00a0<\/i>Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, a day after his Justice and Development party proposed a referendum over a development plan at the square that has fanned the protests. Erdogan also lashed out at the European Parliament over its resolution that expressed concern over\u201cthe disproportionate and excessive use of force by the Turkish police.\u201d\u00a0<\/i>The PM said he would not\u00a0\u201crecognize the decision that the EU parliament is going to take about us.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
