Pakistan Foreign office spokesman has said Kashmir dispute was core issue between India and Pakistan.<\/h1>\n

Islamabad, July 20\/Nationalturk- Expressing concern over desecration of Holy Quran in Indian administered Kashmir, Pakistan has said Kashmir dispute was core issue between India and Pakistan.<\/p>\n

\u201cKashmir was core issue between India and Pakistan and solution of the dispute was necessary to maintain peace and stability in the region,\u201d Pakistan\u2019s Foreign Office Spokesman Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry told Pakistan TV.<\/p>\n

He said Pakistan has a clear Kashmir policy to solve the issue. \u201cWe want to resolve it according to United Nations resolutions and as per the will of the people of Indian administered Kashmir.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aizaz said his country fully supports the right to self determination of the Kashmiri people so that they can determine their fate. \u201cWe want to give them their due rights\u201d.<\/p>\n

He said Pakistan believed in peaceful co- existence and wanted to solve all the issues with India through peaceful negotiations.<\/p>\n

India and Pakistan have fought three wars and were close to another war in 1999.<\/p>\n

Pakistan concerned over desecration of Holy Quran in Indian Kashmir<\/h2>\n

Earlier, during his weekly news briefing in capital Islamabad yesterday, Aizaz said Pakistan has expressed grave concern over desecration of the Holy Quran in Indian administered Kashmir.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis incident has hurt the sentiments of the people of Pakistan as well as of the entire Muslim world. Indian government has expressed its intention to carry out investigation into the sacrilegious act. We hope the probe will be held expeditiously and those involved in the act will be brought to justice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

At least four protestors were killed and over 40 injured in Gool, Ramban, some 230 kms south of Srinagar, summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir on Thursday (July 18) when Indian border guards opened fire on a group of people. People were protesting beating of cleric and desecration of copies of Holy Quran by Indian border guards.<\/p>\n

Asked about revelations made by former Indian official Satish Verma, about the Mumbai and Parliament attacks in India, Pakistan Foreign office spokesman said India had denied any such statement on Mumbai attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cIslamabad had asked its High Commission in New Delhi to approach the Indian government to ascertain the veracity of the report. e would ask India to give more details in this regard,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
