File Pic<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h1>India is going to set up a new air base at Nyoma near border with China in Indian Kashmir.<\/h1>\n<p>New Delhi, Oct 5\/Nationalturk &#8211; \u00a0In order to send a strong signal to China and prevent Chinese troops from making incursions in Indian territory, India is going to set up a new air base at Nyoma near border with China in Indian Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe airfield at Nyoma in South Eastern Ladakh \u00a0will be expanded into a full-fledged airbase,\u201d Indian Air Force Chief N A K Browne has said.<\/p>\n<p>He said fighter planes, aircrafts and transport aircrafts can land in the new base, thus giving added power to IAF.<\/p>\n<p>Nyoma is located at a height of 13,000 feet. The airfield in Nyoma was not used by India after war with China in 1962 but was reactivated in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The Nyoma airbase is 100 miles away from Daulat Beg Oldie sector at Line of Actual Control (LAC), defector border with China. Chinese troops had in April this year entered Daulat Beg Oldie sector and set up tents there.
