Ex-boxing champion Evander Holyfield has been compared in the UK Channel 5 reality show “Celebrity Big Brother” gays with disabilities. Even during the broadcast, there was a fierce rebuke for a 51-year-olds. Many observers are now calling for his expulsion from the program.<\/h1>\n

After anti-gay slogans on British television , the former professional boxer Evander Holyfield is coming under fire . In the reality TV show ” Celebrity Big Brother ” of the U.S. America Santander homosexuals had compared with disabilities and refers to them as ” not normal”. They could change their sexual orientation if they wanted to .<\/p>\n

The 51- year-old had been warned it of the producers of the Channel 5 show. His expression was extremely offensive to many people , he was told , according to ” Daily Mirror ” .
\nFor some observers , however, the snub did not go far enough : they are now demanding the expulsion Holyfield from the television format . ” Shame” , tweeted about the<\/p>\n

British singer Boy George : “I’ve admired Mr. Evander Holyfield as he seemed to be honorable I was sure that he is cool, clever and a really big one . . . ”<\/p>\n

The news agency Press Association According to Holyfield had entertained with “Celebrity Big Brother” contestant Luisa Zissman about a possible coming-out gay boxer in front of the camera. Here, the Americans had made it clear that he did not consider homosexuality to be normal. “The Bible tells us that there are right and wrong things,” explained the self-confessed Christian.<\/p>\n

When Zissman replied: “I think it’s good to be open like that because it’s normal”, Holyfield said: “But that ain’t normal.”<\/p>\n

The American attempted to explain his comment by saying “the Bible lets you know there’s wrong, there’s right”.<\/p>\n

Zissman, 26, said: “That’s just the way some people are born.”<\/p>\n

Holyfield replied: “It don’t make no difference. If you’re born and your leg were turned this way, what do you do? You go to a doctor and get it fixed back right.”<\/p>\n

She tried to coax the retired boxer into changing the subject, telling him: “I don’t think this is an appropriate conversation to have in this house.”<\/p>\n

Holyfield was then ordered to the Diary Room where he was told by the programme-makers: “Before you entered the Big Brother house the rules regarding unacceptable language and behaviour were explained to you.<\/p>\n

“Last night in a conversation with Luisa you expressed the view that being gay was not normal and that it could be fixed.<\/p>\n

“While Big Brother understands these are the views you hold, they aren’t the views that are held by a large section of society, and expressing these views will be extremely offensive to many people.<\/p>\n

“Do you understand why?”<\/p>\n
