Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor, wife of Indian minister Shashi Tharoor, according to doctors, had died sudden and unnatural death.<\/h1>\n

New Delhi, Jan 18\/Nationalturk –\u00a0 Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor, wife of Indian minister Shashi Tharoor, who was found dead in a hotel room in Indian capital last evening, had died sudden and unnatural death, doctors have said.<\/p>\n

Sunanda Tharoor, 52, was found dead inside her suite at The Leela Palace hotel in New Delhi last evening. \u00a0The post-mortem on her body was conducted by a team of doctors from AIIMS this morning.<\/p>\n

In the forenoon, she was cremated.<\/p>\n

She is wife of Indian Minister of State for Human Resources Development. His statement was recorded by the Delhi Police late last night.<\/p>\n

Doctors, who conducted an autopsy on her body, have termed her death as a case of “sudden, unnatural death”.<\/p>\n

\u2018All injuries on her body filmed, photographed\u2019<\/h2>\n

“We are focusing on investigating the reason for the sudden unnatural death. In view of that, all injuries on her body have been photographed and filmed. Nature of injuries can’t be revealed but there were certain injuries,” Dr Sudhir Gupta, one of the three doctors who conducted the post-mortem was quoted as saying by Indian TV news channel NDTV.<\/p>\n

He said biological samples taken to determine if she died of poisoning are yet to be analysed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe final report is expected in a couple of days,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Sunanda had earlier this week alleged that her husband was having an affair with a Pakistani journalist, who she targeted in a series of angry tweets.<\/p>\n

She had called Pakistan journalist an ISI agent and had accused her of trying to create trouble in her marriage.<\/p>\n

But on Thursday, Sunanda and her husband issued a joint statement in which they said they were happily married and intend to stay that way.<\/p>\n
