{"id":46492,"date":"2014-01-23T13:15:16","date_gmt":"2014-01-23T11:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=46492"},"modified":"2014-01-23T13:15:16","modified_gmt":"2014-01-23T11:15:16","slug":"brazil-will-be-able-to-organize-the-world-cup-2014-breaking-news-46492","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/brazil-will-be-able-to-organize-the-world-cup-2014-breaking-news-46492\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil will be able to organize the World Cup 2014 ? \/ Breaking News"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Brazil-2014-World-Cup-Stadiums-Not-Ready.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46505\" title=\"Brazil-2014-World-Cup-Stadiums-Not-Ready\" alt=\"Brazil-2014-World-Cup-Stadiums-Not-Ready\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Brazil-2014-World-Cup-Stadiums-Not-Ready.jpg\" width=\"610\" height=\"314\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Brazil-2014-World-Cup-Stadiums-Not-Ready.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Brazil-2014-World-Cup-Stadiums-Not-Ready-280x144.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/h1>\n<h1>Brazil&#8217;s president Dilma Rousseff\u00a0\u00a0faces a showdown with the head of FIFA over the country&#8217;s preparations for the World Cup.<\/h1>\n<p>Dilma Rousseff opened a new stadium on Wednesday, but Sepp Blatter has described Brazil as more behind than any other previous host country.<\/p>\n<p>It is not just stadiums but also infrastructure which is still not built with 140 days until kick-off.<\/p>\n<p>The road to Recife Stadium is yet to be finished and one worker told Sky News they would meet the April deadline &#8220;in theory&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Fifa does not like theories &#8211; it wants big solid structures.<\/p>\n<p>And as Fifa Secretary General Jerome Valcke completed this week&#8217;s tour of Brazil, he was concerned that some stadiums were not yet there.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Rousseff showed no doubts as she kicked a ball to inaugurate Natal&#8217;s stadium. &#8220;Enchanted&#8221;, is how she described the feeling.<\/p>\n<p>She is travelling to Switzerland to meet Mr Blatter, who has so far been critical of Brazil&#8217;s progress.<\/p>\n<p>Of \u00a0the 12 World Cup stadiums, six were completed for the Confederation&#8217;s Cup last year, and with the Arena Das Dunas in Natal now open, that leaves five incomplete.<\/p>\n<p>The worst is in Curitiba &#8211; described this week by Mr Valcke as &#8220;dangerous&#8221; and currently &#8220;meeting no Fifa standards&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have been given four weeks to present a solution or face losing their World Cup fixtures.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Valcke also found the Pantanal stadium in Cuiaba was behind schedule with patchy grass and only 40 of 40,000 seats in place.<\/p>\n<p>As for Sao Paulo, where an accident delayed work last November, he was confident the Itaquerao stadium would be ready, but only weeks before the opening match on the June 12.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, the December deadline for completion had been missed in Porto Alegre and Manaus, where England are due to play their first game.<\/p>\n<p>The jungle stadium is 95% complete and the British ambassador to Brazil, Alex Ellis visited it on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m pleased to see that the stadium is almost complete.
