Indian Supreme Court Tuesday refused to review its order terming about terming gay \u00a0sex as criminal.<\/p>\n<p>A bench of Justices H L Dattu and S J Mukhopadhaya dismissed petitions filed by Indian government and gay rights activists against its December 2013 verdict declaring gay sex an offence punishable up to life imprisonment.<\/p>\n<h2>In Dec 2013, Apex Court gave ruling against gay sex<\/h2>\n<p>The apex court had in December 2013 ruled that Section 377 of Indian Penal Code that bans sex &#8220;against the order of nature&#8221; &#8211; is constitutionally valid.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court\u2019s December 2013 judgement had revived the penal provision making gay sex an offence punishable with life imprisonment in.<\/p>\n<p>Indian Supreme Court\u2019s ban on gay sex had dismayed gay rights activists, who criticised the government for leaving such an important issue in the hands of the courts rather than address it through legislation.<\/p>\n<p>After today\u2019s Apex court verdict, the gay rights activists are mulling two legal options &#8211;
