In a major jolt to peace moves initiated by Pakistan government with militant group, at least 19 people were killed and over 60 injured in twin blasts in Peshawar and Quetta cities in Pakistan.<\/h1>\n

Islamabad, March 14\/Nationalturk- At least 19 people were killed and over 60 injured in twin blasts in Peshawar and Quetta cities in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

A police official said a suicide bomber blew himself up near an armoured vehicle at Sarband area in a market in Peshawar in restive northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province this afternoon.<\/p>\n

He said eight people were killed and over 32 injured in the bombing. \u201cThe target of the bombing was armoured vehicle of police.\u00a0 Some policemen, who were standing near the vehicle, \u00a0sustained injuries but none was killed in the attack\u201d.<\/p>\n

Immediately after the bombing, police and paramilitary officials visited the spot to take stock of situation. The experts of Bomb disposal squad were was also called in and they were collecting evidence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe initial investigation has revealed that more than 14 kgs of explosives were used in the bombing,\u201d a police official said.<\/p>\n

11 killed, 32 injured in Quetta bombing<\/h2>\n

11 people, including children and woman, were killed and 32 others injured in a bomb blast near Science College at Jinnah Road, Quetta, the capital of southwestern Balochistan province this afternoon.<\/p>\n

Police said most of the victims were on board a passenger bus. \u201cFour vehicles were destroyed in the blast\u201d.<\/p>\n

The window panes of several shops and buildings, including the Science College, were shattered due to the impact of the blast.<\/p>\n

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, where doctors declared some of them as \u201clife threatening\u201d.<\/p>\n

The police official said all the victims were civilians and investigations are under way to identify the perpetrators.<\/p>\n

According to Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) more than 5 kilograms of explosive material was used in the blast and it was detonated with a time device.<\/p>\n

Jinnah Road is business hub of the provincial capital where offices, shopping centres, commercial establishments, restaurants and markets are located.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s bombings will definitely have bearing on peace moves between Pakistan government and militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). TTP has announced a month long ceasefire by today\u2019s bombing was third bombings to have taken place in the country after TTP\u2019s ceasefire came into effect.<\/p>\n
