He is heading\u00a0 a three-member delegation and they are in Turkey to learn from the Turkish experience in privatization of electricity sector.<\/p>\n<h2>Pakistan plans to privatize hydel power projects<\/h2>\n<p>Pakistan plans to privatize country\u2019s hydel\u00a0 power projects while Turkey has already made successful privatization of the power distribution companies and created a multi-buyer and multi-sector electricity market.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan could sensitize entrepreneurs about the privatization plans and would showcase potential projects in the hydel, coal and renewable energy sector to Turkish investors.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistani officials met Secretary of\u00a0 Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Metin Kilci yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Kilci told the delegation that Turkey generated about $50 billion by privatising its power sector. \u201cAs\u00a0\u00a0 a result of privatisation, the public sector is saving over $10bn a year.
