Kenyan officials have said that 3 people have been killed and dozens others left injured in a deadly explosions that hit the country beginning from Friday over the weekend.<\/h1>\n

In the first attack, it was reported that an unknown man threw a grenade at a bus in the port city of Mombasa that had just arrived from Nairobi with passengers, exploding and killing 3 people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The second attack was said to have happened at a bar near a hotel in the Nyali beach area in the same Mombasa city. But officials said There were no casualties recorded there.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Local reporters also said that a third attack was planned at a nearby cinema complex but was unsuccessful and was foiled by security officials. All these attacks were said to have happened in a cordinated planned maner by the terrorists.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The deadly among all these attacks was the granade thrown into the bus that arrived from Nairobi at the Mwembe Tayari transport terminal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Medical officials confirmed that more than 60 people were wounded and 20 of them in critical condition in which the death toll could rise.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Deputy Police Commander, Moses Ombati told reporters that the situation has been brought under control and that people should volunteer to give information that would lead to the arrest of these terrorists.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“So far, three people have been confirmed dead, one was killed at the scene and two died in hospital, we appealing for any information that would allow us to flush out these terrorists\u2019\u2019, he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tensions have been rising in the city of Mombasa in recent months, with authorities accusing Islamists of radicalising local youths.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

An Islamic cleric was shot dead last month in the city of which the youth accused security officials of being behind his death. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

President Uhuru Kenyatta has said that the country\u2019s tourism sector is gradually declining because of recent attacks by these militants.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Last year, Al Shabab attacked the Westgate Shopping Mall in the capital, Nairobi in which they killed 68 people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Al Shabab militants have launched several attacks on Kenya in what it described as Kenya violating its territorial integrity. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kenya has several thousand troops in Somalia, helping the UN-backed government tackle al-Shabab to stabilize the country.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
