Blow to Colombia: Radamel Falcao will not be fit in time after a cruciate ligament injury – coach Jose Pekerman has not claimed the star striker in the final squad.<\/h1>\n

Colombia will miss the World Cup on star striker Radamel Falcao. The attacker AS Monaco is not in the final 23-man squad by coach Jos\u00e9 Pekerman. Falcao had suffered a torn ACL in January and fought for the timely recovery since then. “It’s a sad night,” Pekermann said.<\/p>\n

For the “Cafeteros” and the whole country the final absence Falcao is a bitter disappointment: the attacker, called “El Tigre” (“The Tiger”), achieved in 49 international matches 20 goals and shot the Colombians in the World Cup qualifiers with nine gates on second place in the South American group behind Argentina.
