The post showed a gruesome picture of Theo Van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker who was shot and stabbed to death in an Amsterdam street in 2004 by a fanatic angered by his film about Muslim women.<\/p>\n
“We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show,” Mr al Amrikee wrote. “This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”<\/p>\n
The post on the site which has been taken down from the Internet also gave information about Stone and Parker’s home which they co-own and addresses of buildings which belong to South Park’s production offices in California and New York.<\/p>\n
According to the Associated Press which Mr al-Amrikee spoke to, the post was not a threat but a warning so that such incident does not occur again.<\/p>\n
The episode that had angered Muslims was a 200th special and had seen Muhammed, dressed in a bear suit, but also contained religious leaders from all main religions including Buddha snorting drugs.<\/p>\n
The subsequent episode (episode 201) saw any reference to Muhammed bleeped out and a banner stateing the episode was censored was used.<\/p>\n
The controversy over depicting Muhammed in cartoons or magazines mainly erupted after a cartoonist who published humorous Muhammed images, sparked mass protests and riots by Muslims all over the world causing over 100 deaths.<\/p>\nError, group does not exist!
