[media id=201 width=610 height=340]<\/strong><\/p>\n The angered fans of Sarajevo who are currently in the bottom half of the domestic league were expecting a win against Siroki Brijeg who are in third spot after huge clashes last October between the two teams fans resulted in a supporter dead and hundreds injured.<\/p>\n Sarajevo supporters were shouting “You betrayed us,” to the clubs footballers and management before jumping onto the field to attack the players though non of the teams players were injured.<\/p>\n The angered fans then started to break the stadiums seats and also destroyed the teams dugout where substitute players and management were.<\/p>\n Sarajevo police spokesman Dragan Mijokovic said “Seventeen policemen were injured in the violence, several with serious injuries, up to 15 people were detained.”<\/p>\n The two teams fans who clashed in October resulting in dozens of injuries and a supporter getting killed, are divided both politically and religiously.<\/p>\n The Sarajevo supporters are mostly Muslims, and the Siroki Brijeg supporters are predominantly Croats. Tension between the Croat’s, Serbs and Muslims have remained high after the 1992-95 war which left over 100,000 dead.<\/p>\n It is unknown what the Bosnian football association will respond to the fans but a hefty fine and stadium closure are on the horizon for Sarajevo who are struggling to stay in the Bosnian Super League.
