{"id":60233,"date":"2018-03-06T11:50:11","date_gmt":"2018-03-06T11:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=60233"},"modified":"2018-03-06T11:50:11","modified_gmt":"2018-03-06T11:50:11","slug":"turkey-sees-almost-18-pct-rise-in-air-passengers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/turkey-sees-almost-18-pct-rise-in-air-passengers\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey sees almost 18 pct rise in air passengers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Number of passengers passing through Turkish airports up 17.6 pct in February compared to same month last year<\/h2>\n<p>The number of passengers traveling through Turkish airports surged by 17.6 percent year-on-year in February, according to official data released on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Data from Turkey&#8217;s General Directorate of State Airports Authority revealed that airports across the country served more than 13 million people last month.<\/p>\n<p>The number of international passengers reached nearly 4.7 million in the month, rising 22 percent from February 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The number of domestic fliers totaled 8.4 million, marking an increase of 15.5 percent during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tuesday&#8217;s data, Turkish airports served 129,972 planes, up 6.4 percent compared to the same month last year.
