Fetullah Terroist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.<\/p>\n
Ankara accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.<\/p>\n
Addressing a meeting of foreign minister\u2019s council, Mogherini said the EU members do remember the day and night of July 15 very well.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday is the third anniversary of the attempted coup and I think that we all remember that day and that night very well,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Mogherini said she also talked to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu \u201cabout Turkey\u2019s activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.\u201d<\/p>\n
