{"id":64077,"date":"2019-08-09T09:54:10","date_gmt":"2019-08-09T08:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=64077"},"modified":"2019-08-09T09:54:10","modified_gmt":"2019-08-09T08:54:10","slug":"climate-change-affecting-food-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/climate-change-affecting-food-security\/","title":{"rendered":"Climate change affecting food security"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Climate change change is affecting availability, access, utilization and the stability of food security, the UN said Thursday in a report that shows its danger and effect on land.<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;When land is degraded, it becomes less productive, restricting what can be grown and reducing the soil\u2019s ability to absorb carbon,\u201d according to a report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). \u201cThis exacerbates climate change, while climate change in turn exacerbates land degradation in many different ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It indicated land, which must remain productive for food security, is already under increasing pressure by human activity and climate change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBetter land management can contribute to tackling climate change, but is not the only solution,&#8221; it said.
