{"id":66484,"date":"2020-09-09T10:34:43","date_gmt":"2020-09-09T09:34:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=66484"},"modified":"2020-09-09T10:34:43","modified_gmt":"2020-09-09T09:34:43","slug":"preschoolers-1st-graders-due-back-in-school-in-turkey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/preschoolers-1st-graders-due-back-in-school-in-turkey\/","title":{"rendered":"Preschoolers, 1st graders due back in school in Turkey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turkey\u2019s youngest students are due back in class later this month.<\/p>\n<p>National Education Minister Ziya Selcuk said \u201cOn Sept. 21, we will start face-to-face education with only preschool and first-year students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Selcuk added that face-to-face education for all the grades will be re-evaluated three weeks after the Sept. 21 classes begin.<\/p>\n<p>Remote learning will continue through national broadcaster TRT&#8217;s Education Information Network (EBA) channels and live courses.<\/p>\n<p>Through EBA, all teachers can carry out live lessons.<\/p>\n<p>Also, during the new term, students will be able to develop their academic and social skills by downloading apps prepared to improve their reading, comprehension, and math skills.<\/p>\n<p>EBA Support Point areas were also established in schools and various institutions to ensure students lacking a computer or internet access at home can still benefit from the courses. <\/p>\n<p>Turkey developed EBA this spring after the country switched to distance learning for middle and high schools as part of measures to halt the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Turkey\u2019s youngest students are due back in class later this month.
