Y\u0131lmaz became a founding member of the Motherland Party in 1983 and became the Vice President of the European Democracy Union. Two works of Y\u0131lmaz have been published in German and English.<\/p>\n
Mesut Y\u0131lmaz is a Rize deputy in the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st terms. He served as the minister of state and minister of culture and tourism in the 45th government, as the minister of foreign affairs in the 46th and 47th governments, as the prime minister in the 48th, 53rd and 55th governments, and as the state minister and deputy prime minister in the 57th government.<\/p>\n
Y\u0131lmaz served as the Chairman of the Motherland Party between 1991 and 2002.<\/p>\n
