Bullfight injury, as matador gored through chin in Madrid, Spain<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\nOther matadors and Michelito\u2019s father rushed to the aid of the 12-year-old while the bull was pinning the child to the ground.<\/p>\n
The young child was carried out of the ring and was taken to the hospital for X-rays for possible injury. The boy\u2019s father, French-born former matador Michel Lagravere told the media that the young matador only suffered bruising and that he was ok.<\/p>\n
The boy who was being filmed while in the ambulance said \u201cI am very happy because I done great work with the first young bull (which weighed 405 KG) and I\u2019m leaving with a good taste in my mouth,<\/p>\n
\u201cAbout being beaten, well the same thing happened yesterday with another young bull and today with this young bull weighing 400KG, but I\u2019m leaving very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
The boy\u2019s father, a former bullfighter and owner of a bullfighting academy said \u201cYou can imagine I was scared because I was also a bullfighter, I know what it\u2019s like, but I\u2019m proud of my son to see him happy despite being beaten.\u201d<\/p>\n
Young Michelito has apparently started bullfighting when he was just five-years-old and has thought over 60 bullfights in mostly Mexico and other Latin American countries.<\/p>\n
Michelito is not allowed to fight with bulls in Spain as there is an age restriction where you must be just 16-years-old and over to participate in bullfights.<\/p>\n
The controversy surrounding bullfights and its savage nature has once again been debated after the 12-year-old child was almost seriously injured.<\/p>\n
The young boy started bullfighting when he was just five-years-old in his father\u2019s bullfighting academy in Mexico. His mother is also in the bullfighting business as she runs several bullrings around Mexico.<\/p>\n
The young matador\u2019s family was also heavily criticized by Animal right activists and child protection groups in 2009 after a World Record Attempt by Michelito involving the young matador facing six young bulls at the same time in the bullring. He was only 11-years-old.<\/p>\n
Though Michelito successfully killed the six bulls, he failed to get into the Guinness Book of Records as they were not aware of such an attempt and that it was not recognized.<\/p>\n
