The Department of Defense said the armed forces had &#8220;successfully&#8221; launched a &#8220;intermediate-range strategic air-to-surface missile&#8221; from a fighter jet. However, the rocket did not carry a warhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the successful test, mass production of the modernized guided missile will now start. The missile will be used on both Air Force and Navy aircraft. The medium-range missiles of the ASMPA type were put into service in 2009 and are to be replaced by a new missile system (ASN4G) by around 2035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>France is the only EU country with its own nuclear weapons.
