Mercedes <\/a>EQS 350: The luxury sedan with electric drive only came onto the market last November. With the base model, Mercedes wanted to bring the entry-level price of its electrified S-Class below the 100,000 euro mark. Now, just six months later, the EQS 350 has already disappeared from the range. Why hardly anyone wanted the car<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The model was not in demand, explains the manufacturer, who apparently got bogged down with the equipment. Because if you take a closer look at the Mercedes range of electric cars, you will hardly find any arguments in favor of the EQS 350 – but there are some against it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The EQS 350 offered 215 kW (292 hp), a 90 kWh battery and a range of 626 kilometers, all for around 98,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the EQS 450+ has a more powerful engine (245 kW\/333 hp), a significantly larger battery (107.8 kWh) and the range is correspondingly significantly higher at 768 kilometers. And the whole thing for around 107,000 euros – an extra charge that many people in this segment can and want to treat themselves to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On top of that, the EQE 350 (an electric E class) now offers similar values \u200b\u200bto the canceled EQS. With a price of around 70,000 euros, it is 28,000 euros cheaper. And on top of that, its buyers receive an environmental bonus of 7,500 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In short: Nobody needs the EQS 350. And according to the customers, Mercedes has now also recognized this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
