The Greece Vs Nigeria game finished with the Greek’s winning the African side 2-1 after falling behind. But it is fair to say that Sani Kaita receiving a very silly red card played a big part in Nigeria’s loss. Nigeria will now hope for Argentina to beat Greece in the final games of Group B and Nigeria must beat South Korea.

The final game of the day was between France Vs Mexico and in theory, the Latin American side managed to pull a big surprise by beating France 2-0. However from the football played, France was very poor and did not look as though they wanted the win. Mexico deservedly got the all important three points which put France in extremely dangerous waters.

Friday 18th June will see three games from Group C and D with England’s game against Algeria being pick of the bunch.

Friday, 18th June, FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa schedule.

Germany Vs Serbia – 13:30pm local time

The German’s will be playing Group D’s third game of the tournament against Serbia who lost their first game against Ghana 1-0. The German’s in the other hand were devastating against the Australian’s and beat them 4-0

The first game of the day will be between Germany Vs Serbia and will be played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth with a capacity of 48,000 spectators. The game will kick off at 1:30pm Local time (TR time – 2:30pm : UK time 12:30pm).

Slovenia Vs United States – 4:00pm local time

Slovenia and the US will be playing Group C’s third game of the competition with the Slovenian’s on three points after beating Algeria 1-0. The United States however are on one point after managing a 1-1 draw against England and will be looking to take that tally to four points by beating Slovenia.

The second game of the day will be played between Slovenia Vs United States and will played at the Free State Stadium, also known as Vodacom Park with a capacity of 40,911 spectators. The match will start at 4:00pm local time (TR time – 5:00pm : UK time 3:00pm).

England Vs Algeria – 8:30pm local time

Ooooh England, will the bad luck ever go away. England has some of the most talented players in the world, and most play in the best league in the world, The Premiership, but internationally the English side lack that luck factor that constantly derails them. As we saw in the England Vs United States game, after England went 1-0 ahead a huge gaff by England goalkeeper Robert Green made it 1-1.Well hopefully that will not be the case against Algeria.

The Fourth game of Group C, and the final game of the day will be played at the 64,100 capacity Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, which was demolished and re-built for the World Cup. The game will be played at 8:30pm local time (TR time – 9:30pm : UK time 7:30pm).

Write your comments and thoughts bellow.

Error, group does not exist!
