In December 2021, Citro\u00ebn presented a very special concept for its lightweight Ami electric car (available in Germany as the Opel Rocks-e): Without doors and extra airy with an open roof. And now the French are getting serious. The open two-seater is available in series, but limited to 50 units and from June 21st on the manufacturer’s French website for online sales only. The price starts at around 9,800 euros.<\/p>\n
Unlike the concept, the production version dispenses with the safari look with off-road wheels and a bull catcher. However, the paintwork in khaki and yellow contrasting elements on the outside and inside have been preserved. The buggy also features wider wheel arches, a large rear spoiler on the roof and 14-inch wheels with gold-colored perforated rims. So that the occupants do not fall out while driving, hinged metal tubes were installed as a replacement for the door. The gray and waterproof fabric roof is attached with snaps. It can be rolled up or removed completely – a homage to the Citro\u00ebn icons 2CV and Mehari.<\/p>\n
In terms of drive technology, the buggy version remains unchanged. The small car is powered by an 8 hp electric motor, which, depending on the registration, accelerates the two-seater up to 45 km\/h. Electricity comes from a 5 kWh battery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
