These are the big winners of the “Lolas”. \/ German Film Awards 2022<\/p>\n
“Dear Thomas” is the best German film of 2022. The biopic about the writer Thomas Brasch won the German Film Awards ceremony on Friday evening in the main category “Best Feature Film”. The award is considered the most important German award for filmmakers. The so-called “Lolas” were awarded in a total of 19 categories.<\/p>\n
Overall, “Dear Thomas” also cleared. The film by director Andreas Kleinert was already a favorite in the evening and lived up to its role. The strip garnered a total of nine awards from twelve nominations \u2013 the most of the evening.<\/p>\n
The tragic comedy “Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush” received ten nominations. She made it to second place. The drama “Great Freedom” received eight nominations and third place.<\/p>\n

Actor Ulrich Tukur also played music during his laudatory speech. Without further ado, he sang about the nominees for best supporting actress, accompanying himself on the accordion.<\/p>\n
A video message came from Wladimir Klitschko. Ex-boxer and brother of Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko introduced the category for “Best Documentary”. He encouraged the “soldiers of truth” to continue their work and record war crimes. Afterwards, laudator Sandra Maischberger spoke live with the Ukrainian filmmaker Marina Stepanska, who also thanked her for her solidarity.<\/p>\n
