Hollywood star Clu Gulager has died at the age of 93.<\/p>\n
Clu Gulager is dead. The American actor died of natural causes on August 5 at the home of his son John Gulager and daughter-in-law Diane in Los Angeles. The two told the “Hollywood Reporter”. The movie star was 93 years old.<\/p>\n
William Martin “Clu” Gulager was born in Oklahoma in 1928 and grew up on his uncle’s farm there. After serving in the US Marines, he trained as an actor in Texas and Paris. In the mid-fifties he moved to New York and quickly gained a foothold in the television business. As the “Oklahoma cowboy,” Gulager made a name for himself in western series.<\/p>\n
Above all, his roles as Billy the Kid in “The Tall Man”, which he embodied between 1960 and 1962, and as Sheriff Ryker, whom he then played for five years in “The People from the Shiloh Ranch”, made him famous.<\/p>\n
But the actor could also be seen on the big screen. Among other things, he played in the thriller “The Death of a Killer” or in “The Hidden – The Unspeakable Evil” and other horror films.
