Ronaldo slapped the phone out of an Everton supporter’s hand as he left the field after a 1-0 defeat on April 9. A video circulated on Twitter showing Ronaldo running angrily to the dressing room and waving his hand. Then a cell phone broke on the ground.<\/p>\n
Ronaldo also apologized shortly afterwards via Instagram, writing that it was not easy to deal with emotions. “Nevertheless, we have to be respectful and patient at all times. We are a role model for all the young players who love this wonderful game.”<\/p>\n
The investigation was “completed” with the warning, the police wrote in a statement. Ronaldo also invited the affected fan to watch a game at Old Trafford in April for reasons of “fairness and sportsmanship”.<\/p>\n
