{"id":7367,"date":"2010-06-30T18:11:48","date_gmt":"2010-06-30T15:11:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=7367"},"modified":"2011-01-26T17:41:13","modified_gmt":"2011-01-26T15:41:13","slug":"6-die-in-horror-amusement-park-ride-malfunction-in-china-61590832","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/6-die-in-horror-amusement-park-ride-malfunction-in-china-61590832\/","title":{"rendered":"6 die in horror amusement park ride malfunction in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"font-size: 1.5em;\">Six people have been confirmed dead in China after an amusement park ride malfunctioned and plummeted 15 meters to the ground.<\/h1>\n<h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7368\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7368\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7368\" title=\"Amusment park horror\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/berdiv\/public_html\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Amusment-park-horror.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"178\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7368\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">An injured man who survives the crash on the floor while he waits for an ambulance covered in blood.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to reports the Space Journey simulator at the Eco-Adventure Valley, which is part of the Overseas Chinese Town East amusement park malfunctioned while the ride was on and people where inside it.<\/h2>\n<p>At least 10 others were reported injured in the incident which occurred on Tuesday, with five of the injured being in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the injured were seen outside the ride covered in blood as ambulance services and fire brigades rushed to the scene to help the injured people.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities at the theme park have not explained want went wrong on the ride which is supposed to simulate what a rocket launch.<\/p>\n<p>One witness on the ride described the accident as by saying &#8220;there was a sudden loud boom inside the cabin. Then everything went black and I don&#8217;t know what happened. I was in the hospital when I woke up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another witness on the ride said &#8220;there was a power cut when the crash happened and I smelled something burning.
