The time has come for a two-state solution.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Macron: We Can No Longer Delay<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Macron stressed that Palestinians had long been promised statehood, yet the pledge was never fulfilled. He pointed to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where thousands have been displaced, and called for an immediate ceasefire to save lives and secure the release of Israeli hostages. \u201cFor nearly two years, humanity itself has been sacrificed. This is unacceptable,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Embassy to Open in Palestine<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As part of the recognition, Macron announced that France would open an embassy in Palestine and support security forces in the region. He urged Israel to normalize relations with Palestine, insisting that peace in the Middle East requires a new security framework that includes both nations.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Palestinian Authority Welcomes Move<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Palestinian Authority hailed the decision as \u201chistoric and courageous,\u201d describing it as a step toward genuine peace. Macron underlined that recognition of Palestine was not a victory for Hamas but a pathway to justice and stability.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Israeli Response and Tensions Ahead<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reacted defiantly, pledging to expand settlement construction in the West Bank. Meanwhile, a Gaza-bound aid flotilla carrying activists, including climate campaigner Greta Thunberg, has heightened tensions as Israel vowed to enforce its blockade.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>UN Stage for Peace Talks<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The recognition came during a UN summit on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, co-hosted by France and Saudi Arabia.
