Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that both<a title=\"Putin and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa Meet in Moscow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/putin-ahmed-al-sharaa-meet-in-moscow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Vladimir Putin<\/a> and Donald Trump agreed in principle to meet in Budapest, but the final call now rests with the United States. \u201cTrump proposed the meeting, and Putin accepted it. However, everything depends on the inviting side,\u201d Lavrov said.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u201cEverything depends on the inviter\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lavrov recalled that the planned meeting had originally been canceled at the White House on October 23, before U.S. officials later clarified that the cancellation was effectively a postponement. \u201cThere is an offer, and we said we accept when invited. We are ready to agree on the format, location, and timing of the meeting,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Budapest remains an option<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Budapest, Hungary\u2019s capital, is currently being considered as a possible venue for the summit. Russian officials believe such a meeting could reopen diplomatic dialogue between the two countries.
