Founded in 2001 and maintained by thousands of volunteer editors, Wikipedia has grown into the world\u2019s largest open-access encyclopedia, offering content in more than 300 languages. Dr. Nony calls Grokipedia part of Musk\u2019s broader project to consolidate power over global information systems:<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Starlink, he\u2019s creating dependency through internet access. With Grokipedia, he\u2019s doing the same with knowledge. It\u2019s about centralizing control \u2014 replacing shared information with owned information.\u201d<\/p>\n

She describes the platform as a \u201ccontinuation of neoliberal and colonial power structures\u201d, one that seeks to replace human collaboration with algorithmic authority.<\/p>\n

Experts see Grokipedia not as a liberation of knowledge but as an attempt to monopolize it.<\/p>\n

Where Wikipedia thrives on collective participation, Grokipedia transfers that process to an AI system operating in isolation.<\/p>\n
