The visit comes as the US approaches the 250th anniversary of its independence from Britain.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Royal couple welcomed with ceremony<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A red carpet was rolled out for King Charles and Queen Camilla as they began their visit to the United States.<\/p>\n<p>They were greeted with flowers by children of UK service personnel stationed in the US.
