Out of 14,200 members eligible to vote, 4,899 entered the congress hall and 4,813 cast their votes.<\/p>\n
A total of 86 members who entered the hall did not vote. Of these, 16 were registered at ballot box No. 17, while 9 members each were registered at ballot boxes No. 1, 2, and 5.<\/p>\n

Supervisory Board<\/strong> Fikret Orman Was Elected with the Support of Only 21.7% of Eligible Members<\/strong><\/p>\n Voter turnout reached 33.9%. In the presidential election, 6.7% of all ballots cast were blank or invalid.<\/p>\n Among valid votes, Fikret Orman received 64%, while H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay<\/a> received 36%.<\/p>\n As a result, Fikret Orman was elected president with the support of only 21.7% of all members eligible to vote.<\/p>\n (33.8% turnout \u00d7 64% of valid votes = 21.7%)<\/p>\n Ballot Box Analysis<\/p>\n In the presidential election, Fikret Orman received more votes in 17 ballot boxes, while H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay led in 3 ballot boxes.<\/p>\n On a percentage basis, Fikret Orman\u2019s five strongest ballot boxes were No. 1, 3, 19, 4, and 2. H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay\u2019s strongest ballot boxes were No. 13, 14, 16, 15, and 11.<\/p>\n Fikret Orman achieved his highest percentage in ballot box No. 1 with 80.7% of the vote, while H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay reached his highest share in ballot box No. 13 with 65%.<\/p>\n Interestingly, in ballot boxes No. 13, 14, and 16 where H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay<\/a> finished ahead in the presidential racethe elected boards failed to secure a majority.<\/p>\n The elected Supervisory Board received less than 50% support in these three ballot boxes as well as ballot box No. 15.<\/p>\n The elected Disciplinary Board fell below 50% support in those four ballot boxes plus ballot box No. 11.<\/p>\n The elected Membership and Registration Board received less than 50% support in those five ballot boxes plus ballot box No. 9.<\/p>\n Comparison Between Presidential and Board Elections<\/p>\n The presidential election ended 64% to 36%.<\/p>\n The corresponding results in the board elections were:<\/p>\n Supervisory Board: 59% \u2013 41% Overall, the presidential election and board elections showed a significant degree of consistency and parallel voting behavior.<\/p>\n However;<\/p>\n The vote totals received by Fikret Orman and the White List in the Membership and Registration Board election differed significantly in ballot boxes No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 14, with a gap of approximately 15% to 20% against the White List. The influence of Mr. Firuz, the Yellow List candidate, is clearly visible in these ballot boxes.<\/p>\n In ballot box No. 15, Fikret Orman received 20 more votes than his opponent, while the Blue List received 37 more votes in the Supervisory Board election and 31 more votes in the Disciplinary Board election. The 32 blank votes cast in the presidential election at this ballot box largely explain this discrepancy.<\/p>\n In ballot box No. 11, the H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay slate received 44.7% of the vote, the Blue Supervisory Board List received 44.6%, and the combined opposition Membership and Registration Board lists received 54.1%. However, the Blue List for the Disciplinary Board secured 60.5% of the vote.<\/p>\n In ballot boxes No. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 where independent members admitted after 2012 cast their votes, Fikret Orman received 692 votes, while H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay received 723 votes. The 128 blank and invalid votes recorded in these ballot boxes are also noteworthy.<\/p>\n The conservative attitude of older members, their relative distance from current developments, and the difficulty of reaching them resulted in the H\u00fcrser Tekinoktay slate receiving only around 25% of the vote in the first seven ballot boxes.<\/p>\n Ballot Boxes That Tell a Different Story of Football<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
