During the meeting at the Presidential Complex, Erdo\u011fan and Radev discussed T\u00fcrkiye-Bulgaria relations, regional security and economic cooperation.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Erdo\u011fan invites Radev to COP31<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>According to the statement from the Directorate of Communications, Erdo\u011fan said relations between T\u00fcrkiye and Bulgaria were progressing in a multidimensional way.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the two countries were working to improve cooperation in many areas, particularly trade, transport, defense industry and energy.<\/p>\n<p>Erdo\u011fan also said the Turkish community in Bulgaria strengthened ties between the two countries and invited Radev to the COP31 Leaders\u2019 Summit to be held in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Protocol signed between Bulgargaz and BOTA\u015e<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Following the meeting, Bulgargaz and BOTA\u015e signed a protocol freezing the agreement between the two companies for 15 months.<\/p>\n<p>Under the protocol, only the improved capacity terms for the Bulgarian side will be paid. The meeting also underlined the shared interest of both countries in making maximum use of natural gas transmission capacity.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Trade volume reaches 9 billion euros<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The leaders also discussed the positive trend in bilateral trade, which has reached 9 billion euros.<\/p>\n<p>Radev emphasized Bulgaria\u2019s aim to attract more value-added investment from T\u00fcrkiye, while Erdo\u011fan called on the European Union to implement the customs union agreement with T\u00fcrkiye effectively and in a way that benefits both sides.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Border security and Schengen cooperation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Radev expressed satisfaction over T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s efforts to strengthen border controls along the shared border.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulgarian side highlighted T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s contribution to the fight against irregular migration and said cooperation on border security played an important role in Bulgaria\u2019s Schengen process.<\/p>\n<p>Radev was welcomed in Ankara by Trade Minister Bolat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Erdo\u011fan began his diplomatic talks ahead of the NATO Summit in Ankara.
