{"id":8269,"date":"2010-08-12T12:31:20","date_gmt":"2010-08-12T09:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=8269"},"modified":"2010-08-12T12:31:20","modified_gmt":"2010-08-12T09:31:20","slug":"british-archeologists-uncover-englands-oldest-ever-home-35673567","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/british-archeologists-uncover-englands-oldest-ever-home-35673567\/","title":{"rendered":"British Archeology uncover England&#8217;s oldest ever home"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"font-size: 1.5em; text-align: justify;\">British Archeologists have uncovered a home in England said to be the oldest ever found in Britain thought to be 11,000 years-old.<\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_8270\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8270\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8270\" title=\"britains oldest house\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/britains-oldest-house.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"465\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8270\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">British joint Archeology teams from the University of York and the University of Manchester work on their find of 11,000 years-old<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The home which has a fabulous view of a lake beside it had been recently dug after a two-year operation by British archeologists.<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The joint Archeology teams from the University of York and the University of Manchester which worked on the site have said that the house have very original features and is a substantial find that will give better information about the lives of some of the earliest settlers in Britain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Scientists say that the home was built in the area some 11,000 years ago, around 8,500 B.C. when Britain was still connected to Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to early findings the circular house is said to be 11 feet wide, made of timber and had a roof most likely to have been made up of thatched reeds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Archeologists have also suggested that the area contained many other homes but were not found or eroded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The find also gave information on some of the first examples of carpentry in Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An archaeologist from the University of Manchester, Chantal Connelle said .&#8221;This changes our ideas of the lives of the first settlers to move back into Britain after the end of the last Ice Age.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe used to think they moved around a lot and left little evidence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNow we know they built large structures and were very attached to particular places in the landscape,&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Britain&#8217;s previous oldest house, a building in Howick, northern England, is thought to be built 500 to 1000 years younger than the new discovery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!-- Error, Advert is not available at this time due to schedule\/geolocation restrictions!
