This is my second article regarding the Mesut \u00d6zil syndrome which is why I wrote 2 at the end<\/h1>\n

I still believe that this will happen.<\/p>\n

Now, our players in Germany are no longer unappreciated; Mesut in a way has turned the tides around.<\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s come to what is happening in the present time, the emotional thoughts regarding being Turkish.<\/p>\n

The important thing is to make the write points so that we can see the bigger picture.<\/p>\n

In my first article what I was trying to say was that, what happened to Mesut will be the breaking point for other Turkish origin players living in Germany.<\/p>\n

Firstly; the Mesut \u00d6zil case is the result of Fatih Terim\u2019s management.<\/p>\n

Mesut\u2019s family asking for a guarantee from Terim that their son will play in games had already finished the time period of Mesut playing for Turkey before it even started.<\/p>\n

But why did Mesut\u2019s family want a guarantee?<\/p>\n

Fatih Terim<\/p>\n

They had the example of Nuri \u015eahin and periods after that in Euro 2008 where Turkish footballers playing in Germany were eliminated from the first eleven.<\/p>\n

Nuri \u015eahin, at the age of 18 was regarded as one of Europe\u2019s starlets and had even gotten interest from Chelsea,\u00a0but was called to the Turkish National side for a friendly match and never played for the senior Turkish national side again.<\/p>\n

Nuri was sent to the under-21 side and this had greatly upset the player.<\/p>\n

This was a good example for the \u00d6zil family.<\/p>\n

The irony is that even though he is still regarded as a star at the Bundesliga, he is still played at the under-21 level at the Turkish National side.<\/p>\n

2008 was a nightmare\u2026<\/p>\n

Other then Hamit, no other player from Germany was included in the National side.<\/p>\n

While top class Turkish players were out in the open, why wouldn\u2019t \u00d6zil\u2019s family want a guarantee and even be afraid.<\/p>\n

It is not easy to produce a star player in the world arena\u2026<\/p>\n

The footballer\u2019s sportive and social responsibilities must be taken care of.<\/p>\n

His family must try and reduce the pressure on the player.<\/p>\n

Just like what L\u00f6w did for Mesut.<\/p>\n

Just like giving Serdar Ta\u015f\u00e7\u0131 the captaincy while he was playing for the German National side.<\/p>\n

So what did we do for Nuri \u015eahin which we could do for Mesut.<\/p>\n

I am sure that should Mesut have chosen Turkey, he would have also been in the under-21 side.<\/p>\n

O\u011fuz would have also continued with the same action and sent Mesut beside Nuri so that they can watch the game rather then play.<\/p>\n

There is also another reason which proves Mesut made the correct choice.<\/p>\n

Every player would want to play in the World Cup.<\/p>\n

Every player would want to be on display as world class.<\/p>\n

Our National side after years was able to participate in the 2002 World Cup and came third.<\/p>\n

After\u2026<\/p>\n

We still cannot go through the group stages.<\/p>\n

What about Germany!..<\/p>\n

They are in all the World Cup\u2019s<\/p>\n

And all the players are on display.
\nMourinho brought Mesut to Real under these circumstances.<\/p>\n

In 2008 we were very successful, but no one was able to get anywhere?<\/p>\n

The truth is, footballers should try to go to Europe, and they should still try.<\/p>\n

We can see what happened to Arda Turan\u2026 (When he was regarded as one of Europe\u2019s important talents)<\/p>\n

And here we have Mehmet Topal\u2026<\/p>\n

Who has been playing for Valencia with great success.<\/p>\n

But still O\u011fuz \u00c7etin did not want Topal, he was not good enough for the National side!..<\/p>\n

We are at a position where we should be proud of Mesut.<\/p>\n

For him to be the most important factor for us,<\/p>\n

As a footballer,<\/p>\n

And for the quality he is at Real Madrid.<\/p>\n
