{"id":8911,"date":"2010-10-22T12:12:15","date_gmt":"2010-10-22T09:12:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=8911"},"modified":"2010-10-22T12:12:15","modified_gmt":"2010-10-22T09:12:15","slug":"georgia-firefighter-suspended-after-gruesome-footage-of-car-accident-victim-3565545","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/georgia-firefighter-suspended-after-gruesome-footage-of-car-accident-victim-3565545\/","title":{"rendered":"Georgia Firefighter suspended after gruesome footage of car accident victim"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"font-size: 1.5em; text-align: justify;\">A firefighter in the United States has been suspended from duty pending an investigation after gruesome cell phone footage of a woman who had died in a car crash emerged.<\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_8913\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8913\" style=\"width: 320px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8913\" title=\"Dayna Kempson-Schacht\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Dayna-Kempson-Schacht.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Dayna-Kempson-Schacht.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Dayna-Kempson-Schacht-280x210.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8913\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dayna Kempson-Schacht who was killed in a car crash on 17 July.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It has been alleged that the video footage of Dayna Kempson-Schacht who had died in a car crash was passed around between the firefighters was filmed by one of the servicemen who was present at the crash site.<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The video footage had also seen by Dayna Kempson-Schacht\u2019s grieving parents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Georgia fire department has confirmed that a firefighter filmed the Dayna Kempson-Schacht after it had emerged that she was killed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A statement released by county attorney Jim Fortune said &#8220;Spalding County considers the taking of the video and sharing it in this circumstance to be, at minimum, a grave error in judgment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCounty officials want a full assessment of whether any laws, ordinances or policies may have been violated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While a statement from the fire department wrote &#8220;The video was recorded after the initial responders had determined that Ms. Kempson-Schacht had been killed on impact and there was nothing that could be done for her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLater, that video was shared with other firefighters and ultimately with people outside of the department including Ms. Kempson-Schacht\u2019s parents,\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The devastated mother of Ms. Kempson-Schacht, Lucreta Kempson said &#8220;When I close my eyes, it&#8217;s not fair that that video is what I see of my daughter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A report of the investigation will be presented at a board meeting on October 25.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Write your comments and thoughts below.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #f00;\">Error, group does not exist!
