{"id":9216,"date":"2010-12-04T16:49:26","date_gmt":"2010-12-04T13:49:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=9216"},"modified":"2010-12-04T16:49:26","modified_gmt":"2010-12-04T13:49:26","slug":"syrian-president-bashar-al-assad-ukraine-041210","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/syrian-president-bashar-al-assad-ukraine-041210\/","title":{"rendered":"Syrian President Bashar al Assad Visits Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/bashar-al-assad.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9217\" title=\"Syrian President Visits Ukraine\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/bashar-al-assad-280x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/bashar-al-assad-280x168.jpg 280w, https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/bashar-al-assad.jpg 460w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/a>Syrian President Bashar al Assad finished his two-day long official visit to Ukraine late on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In his visit, Syrian President met with Ukrainian Viktor Yannukovich in capital Kiev and started a new era between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>After the two counterparts meeting, the delegates of two countries made extended high level meetings.Last August, President al-Assad sent a letter to President Yanukovych, delivered by Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem, on means of enhancing the bilateral relations in various domains and the current situations in the region, with the Ukrainian President stressing that resuming dialogue on the political level will enable the two sides to push forward the bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p>Last October, the Syrian-Ukrainian Joint Governmental Committee held its 7th session in Kiev which discussed the rapidly developing economic relations and means of enhancing them, particularly the free trade zone agreement due to be signed between the two sides.<br \/>\nThe two countries also signed a number of agreements in the cultural and agricultural domains and the protocol of the 7th Session. The Syrian-Ukrainian Businessmen Forum was also held.<br \/>\nThe 6th Session of the Syrian-Ukrainian Governmental Committee was convened in October 2008 in Damascus in the presence of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Turchinov.<br \/>\nDuring the session, eight agreements, memos of understanding and cooperation protocols were signed in the fields of industry, transport, housing, customs, justice and trade.<\/p>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #f00;\">Error, group does not exist!
