Bug\u00fcne kadar daha \u00f6nce sadece Efes&#8217;te ve \u00dcrd\u00fcn yak\u0131nlar\u0131ndaki Gerasa Antik Kenti&#8217;nde ayn\u0131 d\u00f6neme ait benzer at\u00f6lyeler bulunmu\u015ftu.\u00a0Mermercili\u011fe ili\u015fkin ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lan en eski bulgu, yine Denizli&#8217;deki Hiearapolis Antik Kenti kuzey nekropol\u00fcnde bulunan bir mezar kapa\u011f\u0131. Bu kapak \u00fczerindeki tasvirde, bir mermer fabrikas\u0131n\u0131n nas\u0131l \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6rebiliyoruz. \u00d6zellikle insano\u011flunun bu d\u00f6nemde de su g\u00fcc\u00fcnden yararland\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyor. Ortaya \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z mermer at\u00f6lyesinde de kesilmi\u015f mermer bloklar\u0131, kesilmeye haz\u0131rlanm\u0131\u015f mermer s\u00fctunlar\u0131 ve su kanallar\u0131 bulunuyor.
