Yonhap haber ajans\u0131, \u00fclkenin g\u00fcneyindeki Gwangju B\u00f6lge Mahkemesi’nin kaptan Lee Joon-seok’un g\u00f6revini ihmal etti\u011fine ve feribot yolcular\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6l\u00fcme terk etti\u011fine h\u00fckmederek 36 y\u0131l hapis cezas\u0131 verdi\u011fini duyurdu.<\/p>\n

Mahkeme heyeti, savc\u0131lar taraf\u0131ndan Lee’ye y\u00f6neltilen cinayet su\u00e7lamas\u0131n\u0131 geri \u00e7evirdi. Feribotun ba\u015f makinisti 30 y\u0131l hapse mahkum edilirken, m\u00fcrettebattan 13 ki\u015fi de be\u015f ile yirmi y\u0131l aras\u0131nda de\u011fi\u015fen cezalar ald\u0131.Feribot personelinin, bir hafta i\u00e7inde verilen cezalar\u0131 temyiz etme hakk\u0131 bulunuyor.<\/p>\n

\u00dclkenin g\u00fcneyindeki Incheon kentinden turistik Jeju Adas\u0131’na giden 6325 ton a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki Sewol feribotu, 16 Nisan’da Byungpoong Adas\u0131’n\u0131n 20 kilometre a\u00e7\u0131\u011f\u0131nda sahil g\u00fcvenli\u011fe yard\u0131m \u00e7a\u011fr\u0131s\u0131 g\u00f6nderdikten sonra yan yatm\u0131\u015f ve h\u0131zla so\u011fuk sulara g\u00f6m\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Kaptan ve m\u00fcrettebat\u0131n terk etti\u011fi feribotta bulunan 325’i lise \u00f6\u011frencisi 476 ki\u015fiden sadece 172 ki\u015fi kurtulmu\u015ftu. Kazan\u0131n ard\u0131ndan ba\u015flat\u0131lan ve aylar s\u00fcren arama \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda 295 ki\u015finin cesedi bulunmu\u015ftu. Dokuz ki\u015finin cesedine ula\u015f\u0131lamam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Arama \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 s\u0131ras\u0131nda iki dalg\u0131\u00e7 da ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131 yitirmi\u015fti.<\/p>\n

Halk aras\u0131nda b\u00fcy\u00fck tepkiye neden olan feribot kazas\u0131n\u0131 “cinayet” olarak niteleyen Devlet Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Park Geun-hye, kazaya ilk m\u00fcdahalenin yetersiz oldu\u011funu kabul etmi\u015f ve \u00f6z\u00fcr dilemi\u015fti. Kurbanlar\u0131n ailelerinin, sevdiklerini korumak ve kurtarmak i\u00e7in yeterince \u00e7aba g\u00f6stermemekle su\u00e7lad\u0131\u011f\u0131 Ba\u015fbakan Chung Hong-won da istifas\u0131n\u0131 sunmu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n
