Police say a man, son and grandson were found dead at an apartment in an upscale area of Manhattan along with another body in a backyard.
The killings were reported at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at a building on the Upper West Side. One woman was taken to a hospital. The incident is being seen as a drug related attack.
The man found dead in the backyard of the had been recently released from prison. Police have also said that a considerable amount of class A drugs were found in the victims house where the attack took place.
No arrests have been made. Police say three family members were found fatally shot in the home.
Police say the fourth man was found dead from a fall in the backyard and may have been the gunman.
The building is on a busy commercial strip in a tree-lined residential neighborhood a few blocks from Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History.
