India, Kashmir – Indian army forces shot dead two militants allegedly belonging to pro-Pakistan based militant group Hizbul Mujahideen in the mountainous Doda region of Indian Kashmir during the preceding night.
In a related incident, suspected militants shot dead a cable operator at Sopore, some 50 kms North of Srinagar, the summer capital of Srinagar last night.
The deceased was identified as Ashiq Hussain Khan and the motive behind the killing is not known.
Police have registered a case and started investigations.
