Pakistan – The kidnapped British boy Sahil Saeed has been released by his captives after a ransom payment.

A government minister in Pakistan has said that Sahil Saeed has been released by his captures after a ransom payment.

The young British boy from Oldham, Greater Manchester, was kidnapped on March 4th while at his grandmothers house in the Pakistani town of Jhelum, Punjab, 65 miles to the South of Islamabad.

Sahil Saeed’s father, 28-year-old, Raja Naqqash Saeed, had returned to Britain despite the fact that the Pakistani police wanted him to stay as a witness. The father was attacked and tortured by four men who were armed while the kidnap had taken place.

Relatives of Sahil Saeed said to officials and members of the media that the kidnappers had stolen cash, jewellery and the ransom money of £100,000 for Sahil Saeed.

How the money was found and who gave the money is not known, however Sahil Saeed’s the father is unemployed and his mother works in a supermarket.

It has been reported that an international gang was involved in the kidnapping.
