The calendar, which has hit the web in glorious fashion, sees the likes of top football managers such as Alex Ferguson, the former Manchester United boss who retired at the end of last season, Chelsea current manager Mourinho and Arsenal boss Wenger all included.

One of the main talking point of the calendar is that of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who was surrounded by the managers he hired and fired.

We all love sexy football, don’t we? There are certain images which epitomise the beautiful game but, be warned, you won’t find them here.

Arsene Wenger’s bare thighs, Carles Puyol doing pelvic thrusts and Avram Grant dressed as a Playboy Bunny – none of these are in the DNA of the beautiful game.

‘I usually draw them from photographs,’ artist Jamie Husbands told The Wharf. ‘Because people don’t usually get up close to these sports stars it was important to ensure they are recognisable, so they have to be good likenesses.’
