Six Pakistanis and five Afghan nationals were killed near Pakistan-Iran border in Pakistan’s Balachoistan province while they were trying to cross illegally into Iran.

Islamabad, Dec 22/Nationalturk – At least 11 persons including six Pakistanis and five nationals of Afghanistan were killed near Pakistan-Iran border in Pakistan’s Balachoistan province while they were reportedly trying to cross illegally into Iran.

“11 people were killed by unknown armed men in Pakistani area near Iran border. They were killed in Sansar, a mountainous region near Gawadar port city in country’s Balochistan province,”  Interior Secretary Captain (retd) Durrani was quoted as having said by Pakistan’s TV channel, Geo News.

He said the deceased included six Pakistani and five Afghan nationals.

“The deceased wanted to enter Europe through illegally crossing into Iran. They tried to illegally cross into Iran in three vehicles,” the official said.

He said it could not be ascertained who was behind the killings. “The investigations are going on to identify the persons involved in killing of  11 persons”.
