Turkey’s evacuation plane opened fire in Sudan

The Ministry of National Defense announced that an evacuation plane belonging to Turkey was fired on in Sudan, where the conflicts continue, that there were no injuries and that the plane landed safely.

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that Turkish C-130 evacuation plane in Sudan was opened with small arms, no injuries and the plane landed safely.

While no information was given about who targeted the evacuation plane in the ministry’s statement, it was stated that the necessary controls were carried out on the plane.

British news agency Reuters, on the other hand, wrote that the evacuation plane was hit by paramilitary forces called the Rapid Support Forces (HDK), which clashed with the army in Sudan. According to the news based on the Sudanese army’s statement, one crew member was injured in the attack. The aircraft’s fuel supply system was also damaged.
