Musk and Prince Andrew resurface in newly released Epstein files

Newly disclosed documents handed to the U.S. Congress reveal Elon Musk was invited to Epstein’s island, while Prince Andrew appeared on a flight manifest with Epstein. The files also include references to Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon and Bill Gates.

Congressional Democrats have released the third batch of documents provided by the Jeffrey Epstein Estate, containing phone message logs, flight records, financial ledgers and daily schedules.

Musk invited to the island

One of the most striking notes is dated December 6, 2014: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?).” Musk has previously stated that while Epstein invited him, he declined to attend.

Prince Andrew on flight list

A flight manifest from May 12, 2000, lists Prince Andrew alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell on a trip from New Jersey to Florida. The files also contain two payment references for “Andrew” related to massages in 2000, though it remains unclear if this refers to the prince. Maxwell was later convicted in 2021 of conspiring with Epstein to traffic young girls.

Other names and meetings

The documents mention a planned lunch with Peter Thiel in November 2017, a breakfast with Steve Bannon in February 2019, and a breakfast meeting with Bill Gates in December 2014. Gates told the BBC in 2022 that meeting Epstein was a “mistake.”

Political reactions

Sara Guerrero, speaking for Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, stressed the importance of transparency: “It should be clear that Epstein was connected to some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world. Every new file helps us pursue justice for survivors.”

Republicans, however, accused Democrats of politicizing the issue and promised to release the full set of files soon.
