Trump threatens Iran: “We will strike the infrastructure and seize the oil”
US President Donald Trump said that if negotiations with Iran do not produce a quick agreement, Washington could target the country’s infrastructure and take control of its oil. He also claimed a deal could still be reached by tomorrow.

US President Donald Trump escalated tensions with fresh remarks about the ongoing negotiations with Iran. Speaking by phone to a reporter from an American news channel, Trump said the United States was prepared to take extremely harsh steps if Tehran failed to reach what he called a “good-faith deal” quickly. His threat to destroy infrastructure and seize oil drew immediate attention.
Trump: I’m thinking about blowing everything up
Trump said that if Iran does not move quickly toward an agreement, the United States could launch a sweeping attack on key targets across the country. He said:
“If they don’t reach a deal quickly, I’m thinking about blowing everything up and taking the oil. You will see bridges and power plants across the country reduced to rubble”
“They have immunity for now”
Trump also said that Iranian officials involved in the negotiations are currently being granted a form of immunity so that talks can continue. He added that negotiations are still active and claimed there is a strong possibility that an agreement could be reached by tomorrow.
Claims about unrest inside Iran
During the same conversation, Trump also referred to internal unrest in Iran. He alleged that the Iranian regime killed 45,000 civilians who had taken to the streets earlier this year.
Trump further claimed that the United States had sent weapons to Iranian protesters, saying those weapons were transferred through Kurdish groups.
He said:
“We sent them a lot of weapons. We sent the weapons through the Kurds, but I think the Kurds kept those weapons for themselves”
