Bar fire in Bangkok kills 27
At least 27 people were killed and many others were hospitalized after a fire broke out at a bar in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok.
A fire broke out at a bar in Bangkok late at night. Fire crews responded to the blaze in the Chatuchak district and began evacuating people from the venue.
Many injured taken to hospital
Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said at the scene that, according to initial findings, 27 people had died in the fire. Many injured people were taken to hospital.
Investigation launched
Authorities said an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
