But even during the wedding preparations, an incident occurred: Her ex-husband Jason Alexander entered her house without permission. According to media reports, there was a physical altercation and the police had to move in.

Ex pleads not guilty

The 40-year-old was taken into custody at the scene and has been in custody ever since. A virtual hearing took place on Monday, at which the suspect pleaded not guilty, as reported by the US media “TMZ” and “Fox News”, among others. He is accused of stalking, trespassing, vandalism, assault and refusing to leave private property. The bail was set at 100,000 US dollars – the equivalent of about 95,000 euros.

Britney Spears, meanwhile, has taken legal action against her former partner, to whom she was married for 55 hours in 2004: She obtained a restraining order against him, which according to her lawyer was granted. According to this, Alexander is not allowed to contact the musician for more than three years and can only approach 100 meters.

While the inmate is behind bars, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are set to move into a new home. As “TMZ” reports, the couple bought a villa in Calabasas. It is said to have cost $11.8 million and is close to Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline, who also has their sons Sean and Jayden. The property will cover 1.6 hectares, the house will be equipped with a large kitchen, a cinema room and a pool, among other things.
