David Alaba moves to Saudi Arabia?

Two years ago he left Bayern Munich and went to the Royals. Is David Alaba following the call from the desert like many other stars this summer?

Karim Benzema, Neymar, N’golo Kanté or Jordan Henderson: Numerous top stars of European football moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

Will the next big name follow? As several Spanish media reports, Real defenders are said to have received an offer from the desert state. Accordingly, it is the club Al Ittihad. Alaba’s ex-teammate Benzema is also under contract there.

A change would still be possible since the transfer window in Saudi Arabia, unlike in Europe, is still open until today, Thursday (September 7th).

According to the reports, the offer should have included a transfer fee of 40 million euros and Alaba should have received a mega salary of 25 million euros.

Real boss: “He is one of our most important players”

Both Real and the ex-Bayern star allegedly rejected this offer. However, the Saudis still have time to increase their supply.

However, it seems unlikely that the royals and the Austrian will become weak with higher sums. Alaba still has a contract in Madrid until 2026. Real club boss Jose Angel Sanchez made it clear to the Saudi Arabian daily Al Riyadhiya: “He is one of our most important players.”

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also reports that a deal is almost impossible: “No chance for Alaba to leave Real Madrid or for Real Madrid to let David go, not even for a crazy offer.”

Alaba is considered indispensable for Real coach Carlo Ancelotti, especially after fellow defender Eder Militao has been out for months with a cruciate ligament rupture. In addition, Alaba, who came to Real from Munich on a free transfer in 2021, should be happy in Madrid and have no intention of changing.
